AI: Good or bad?

Question

I would like to hear opinions on whether AI is good or bad. There are many different opinions and facts. I would like more information on this topic. Thank you for your help.

As everything in life: it has the two sides. But we can see AI as good for us: it can help us in so many activities, making our life easier, we can focus in important things in life instead of doing a repetitive job, we can avoid dealing with dangerous things...

I think that we would need an unemployment fix such as a base income. That or we only selectively use AI. So @tiago, I think it would be possible to, if the country was prepared to assist the transition.

@skayo They most certainly do. Yet aren't there ways we can use AI in conjunction with the already existing jobs?

@tiago You are correct. However, those repetitive and dangerous jobs are keeping people employef. If the AI takes over, we will have an even larger unemployment problem then we already do.

@hatsy, well that's a rather pessimistic view. Yes, it will most likely happen, but still a rather pessimistic view.

@Samantha Yeah, it's one of the bad sides of AI. In the other hand, I think the point is not the AI itself, but when AI be a reality for everyone, would we be ready?
