What's the difference between the 2?

I'd say the difference is vague and heavily depends on the context. I always like to think that scripts are problem-solving or task-oriented, while programs are more application-like. But that's just a rule of thumb for me, no strict definition.

Scripting for doing something on computer very shortly,for example trying to solve a password. But the programs are so different, they are using for long things, for example paint , drawing something.
