(I'm new) what programming language do you think I should start on. To learn ahead for university?

My course just says python, and but I'm not sure if it's requires prior knowledge or best to start with another programming language instead. (not sure if it's python or python3)

Eh, forget I said that. I'll just say Ruby and Javascript might be more similar to Python than C++, C#, and Java. However, the languages will have some similarities so if you learn one, learning another won't be as difficult. Python3 is basically an updated version of Python. So, yes I suppose it's basically the same thing. (Unless you say something like: Python2 or Python 2.7)

If it's an introductory course they may start from the very basics. So you should be ok. If you want to get ahead, go ahead and start with the Python course. Or, try another language that is not strongly typed. Such as Ruby or Javascript. Or go all out with c++, C# or Java.

What do you mean by strongly typed? And is python the same as python3?
