Should one learn HTML before CSS? Does it matter?
i started the lessons on html but i already have some past experience coding specifically with css, so decided to do that first. however, i realized the lessons kind of make it so that you already need to know at least some html, since css sort of adds on to it. when learning html that wasn't the issue. so, would it be better to learn html first? would it make it easier, is it necessary, etc.?

HTML gives the structure of the website.
CSS gives the styling and the looksy-looks.
JavaScript gives the interactive experience.
But the building block is HTML, you should feel confident with it first, before going for the other two of the triad.

HTML gives the page structure. CSS is used to make everything look stylish and pretty. So yes, you should learn HTML first, in my opinion.

Html then css then java or php (but java might be better, though they both do pretty much the same thing)

HTML is definitely the first one to learn. It is the basic Structure of your website.CSS and JV are not the basic.
