if you could completely master any language (if possible), which one would you choose? why?

^ in the title. while its not possible to be perfect in a language, if you could at least be very talented and make mesmerizing codes / use it for a career / be a guru to any beginners, which one would it be for you? why would you choose it? would you make anything in particular?

python -> the os of languages competing with specialised languages R is optimised for data? really would you choose it when python follows close behind ? the specialised accomplished with the general too noobish? for a language powering state of the art war robots and approved by the mil, it makes one think (google the iRobot company)
