I think popularity depends on a few other factors as well. While code quality is certainly one of the main factors. It just doesn't hold the amount of weight as stated in popular belief. E.g. Hard work will not betray you - But it may betray your dreams - (But) it is still worth the try.

No matter if your codes will be popular or not, always write good codes. 🍪
