yes it is!! The recent series is 3.x series you can install and use it through command line or through IDLE GUI

There has to be IDLE! This is a pre-installed IDE. With IDLE you can work in the interactive mode and run scripts.

I use windows(10), too. I installed Python 3.5. I just have to browse apps >python > IDLE in the start menu.

The Python interpreter is bundled with IDLE, a basic Python IDE. Launch IDLE and start coding. Here is another IDE if you don't like IDLE: http://eric-ide.python-projects.org/eric-download.html

Hey, I had a similar issue. I don't know why, but IDLE isn't in the python folder. If you downloaded Python and set it up on the C Drive, you can search for the program. That's what I had to do. I found it though. Let me know if that helps!
