Your introduction to coding? Good or bad?

I answered on a forum about why I code, and spoke of my first experience with programming. It got me thinking does anyone have an interesting first experience?

Mine's is ironic. When I started I despised it and couldn't wait to drop it forever. I had a compulsory introductory programming class for a MSc in biotech. But the teacher didn't compensate for beginners who had zero background with the subject and there was zero coding involved; instead we just had to comment code. Nearly destroyed my enthusiasm

glad you made it after all and you are with us!
mine was slow and i was like "i want to make a game!" when i was around 13. how stupid was I. but from that time i was into programming stuff. how cool was that ho my. nowdays i still want to make a game and my dream is so close now!

well...I was sorta like you, my parents wanted me to take programming ...I didn't like it at first but ...now its sorta fun...
