Is kali linux same as ubuntu and other linux.... In coding terms..?

Kali Linux and Ubuntu are the same OS, foundationally , but Kali is a pentesting OS because it has preinstalled pentesting packages

of course not kali linux is specifically made for ethical hacking or penetration whatever but ubuntu is made for daily use

In coding terms it is because it can install the same IDEs and Text editors that any other distro can. My kali partition has Pycharm, Sublime text, Atom
