Does anybody have a certficate from w3schools? Do you feel it is useful cause it is not free like in SoloLearn?

I know that some color paper do not talk much about your knowledge. But maybe it is a kind of satisfaction or good feeling what help you go on in scripting.

Thank You @Vukasin Zeljic. You are right. Maybe the companies see at least the interest in problem solving, what coding really is.

I believe showing your projects and work is much more valuable than showing a certificate when applying for a job, mostly because a person who is self taught can know programing better than someone with a certificate or a diploma. Of course, that doesn't mean that diploma and similar don't have any value, as in a lot of companies they are also a must.

I know a guy who got a job as a front end programmer in a local business. He just pledged in a w3schools certificate and a high school diploma and he got the job. Although, you must note that this was a smaller, start-up business, where you don't really need much qualification, however, even though you pay for the certificate, nothing stops you from cheating on the test other than yourself, so I doubt any medium-big company really takes it into consideration.
