Is Python as powerful As other languages when it comes to machine learning?

I have been looking into different programs to use in machine learning and I am curious what the community here thinks about using Python?

Yes it is. Its one of the most voted languages for Machine learning, deep learning and data analytics, it has a variety of machine learning modules, to name a few:

1 - scipy
2 - scikit-learn
3 - pybrain
4 - Tensorflow
5 - pylearn2
