How to start writing my own code ?

Hi, I am a complete newbie started to learn coding a week ago. I chose c# as my first language, the problem is I can understand the simple codes more or less, and am half way through c# tutorials. but cannot really write my own code without looking again and again at a reference, neither make out a algorithm to solve a problem and start coding it. which makes me feel like a dumb and is disheartening. note: I am a hobbyist coder this is nothing for my school. I am just studying out of pure passion.
