What is the difference between coding and scripting? Or maybe they are same?

coding is a catch all for any type of computer language writing. Scripting is a specific type of coding.There are other types too, like markup. But no matter what, if youare writing stuff for acomputer to understand you betterbelieve that you are coding!

think of scripting as writing. batch files using. predefined functions. Then coding as writing the complete function along with the parameters to define its usage... they are both coding just one is more elaborate and detailed when it come to establishing data structure... Versus predefined methods or functions thats less time consuming, whereas all you have to do is call it.. hope it helped

@ Martin Taylor if you noticed. i said look at it like a batch file... // * read* should i have said sys. ini autorun ... read and get the full understanding and you might see that you semi stated what i stated... oh if you used linux you wouldn't. make the batch file dead comment... good morning
