Depends on what you want to program. For me, I want to write android apps, so I started with Java. Python is a great place to start learning programming basics tho, so Michelle is not wrong. :)

for web sites.... looks = html, css ...behavior = javascript, php ....storage = mysql ....I'd learn those in that order
