Why do you want to learn programing?

I mean what is the point behind your learning is it because you are having fun, have ideas that could be good programs or it's just a part of your university study and you are here just for practicing. share your thoughts :)

Back when I was 13 (I'm 31 now), I started to learn it for fun mostly. During that time, I was working on an online text adventure game, but unfortunately, my programmer was lazy af. As such, I fired them and I began to learn programming so that I wouldn't have to rely on someone else to do what I need to get done. I immediately fell in love with programming, and it's been my passion since then. I had gotten pulled away by networking for many years, but over the past years have been doing software engineering at a telecom company. I'm currently transitioning back into game development, and working on a few gaming projects right now.

I started learning it because I was curious, and now I'm planning on creating a game. I also like to create scripts which make some works easier.
