Concept behind color codes?

i have lost many of the challenges due to color-codes , i am not able to memorise these codes, help me to understand simple concept behind these codes...

Color codes are in hexadecimal, meaning you don't count up to 9 before adding a digit but up to F (which is 15) You can write a color code with 3 digits: the first one for the amount of red, the second one for the amount of green and the third one for the amount of blue Therefore #F00 has 100% of red and 0% of green and blue, it turns out to be red. If you want more specific colors it's possible to use 2 digits for red, green and blue each. With that second notation, red becomes #FF0000 I recommend you to use color charts which you can easily find on google

I really don't find it useful to keep them all in mind, you directly can type their name or copy. Just don't worry about challenges as luckily they repeat questions many time, you will be in habit of.
