How long will it take to learn the basics of the language of java?

Im not wanting to rush or anything. Coding seems like a good skill to have, but I really dont have much free time... And when I do, how much time should I put in it(To be more organized)

It takes a long time. I remember after taking a couple of courses in my first language, I still didn't understand some of the basics. I think this has a lot to do with how coding isnt really taught in grade school.

So, I would highly reccommend getting a tutor if you want to take advantage of saving time.
