I think I'm lucky!!!!
I have samsung galaxy j2 and when call comes it is shown as a popup and you can even challenge while talking!!!

yes, it's a feature of newer version of Android >= v5.x . you get a notification for that about apps. rather than be interrupted plain old due to any disturbance.

unfortunately my phone when receive call exit from chanllege either I refuse or receive the call
