Is coding requires good mathematical skill?

New learner here. I heard from someone that, if you want to be a good coder, you have to be insanely good in math. Is that true?

insanely no but the better yes! a recent example : for simulations i knew how to do it but then i found that if i applied the runge-kutta method, it was nicer and so ... costs nothing to learn it that i saw but what if i already knew it? it helps a lot if you want to see a real impact , for an exercise, see the programming languages coded / invented by mathematicians and let us say linguists and see the popularity index, the difference is clear !

Maybe yes for making scientific things. No in general, for example making web sites.
