How can i put the timer in decreasing order in metbeans 8.0.2 ? So, pls provide me code for it

i had to make the quiz application on java but i am not able to put timer in the frame and code. it also want to display on the frame also. timer is used like when times gets over the no. of questions done are checked by the app and the marks and result is to be displayed on the screen.

Which gui framework do you use? Swing? JavaFX?
