well It really depends... First of all you Need to set your objective. I want to be able to code websites in 3-6 months full stack. I checked for courses and 1 hour a day through courses Will take you there. But if you want to change carrier or degree and you have free time. I would say 1 hour of theory ( courses books and video tutorials. ) a and 1 to 3 of pratice if you don't get there initialy Just cut both by half. And consider check out online a summary of the book:" Deep work ", you should know how to focus when studing.

Rather than giving a number, I would say that give as much time to practice as you can. And don't forget to practice online as well. http://www.hackerrank.com and http://www.hackerearth.com are a great websites.
