gpa calculator

Question

so basically im doing this gpa calculator got my variables and all sorted out , i know theyre various ways of doing this but i wanna try this my way and see how it goes so i want the gpa to be calculated like this
(finalgpa = total_grade_point//total_credit_point)
but my problem is finding out the total of both grade point and credit point. what to do in order to find the total and finally be done with this and not have any error regarding the division. thanks

total grade point u can sum up all grade points
total credit point same...again..
please be more specific...
