What is the difference between data types FLOAT and DOUBLE?

An explanation with example(s) will be highly appreciated.

They can be differentiated on the basis of their storage capacity. float can store 32bits while double can store 64bits.

double is more longer than float but if you don't have to use or deal with long number float is enough and more official than double furthermore float is very speed and easily calculated by computer.
