44 years ago, I was in your shoes. My first visit to the computer room was scary and the people didn't share their knowledge (computers took a huge room back then.) A year later, I was the expert and they all came to me to solve their problems.

I'm still learning new computer skills despite knowing 20 different machine languages, 18 various program languages, and 10 different operating systems. I've written compilers, embedded operating systems, software environments, networking software, telephone switches, and voicemail systems.

Tomorrow, some new technology will appear and obsolete most of what we know making us all learn something new. It has happened almost yearly my entire career.
