What computer does a Developer should have?

Is it really relevant a high performance computer to code? Should it be laptop or desktop?

Well generally most of the time they would advise you to go for more RAM and SSD for programming. If you are using 64bit PC. 16GB RAM is more than enough. Anymore than that is an overkill anyway dude to restriction of bus size. Also, I know a friend who have an old PC with ~1GB ram, and is on 32bit with a shitty dual core. And he uses it for programming. (I am serious on this one) ^ For those who thinks that their PC is still slow for programming.
