I use Visual Studio Code to edit Python. It's light but has a lot of functionality - worth checking out! https://code.visualstudio.com/

Programmers do not use Notepad to code! Install Sublime Text, atom.io or Visual Studio Code.

You can also turn sublime into ide by using suitable code to manually build a system (use youtube) .

Java and C developers would find ide useful with all the compilation tools, whereas web developers would more prefer code editors with all the custom add-in and faster response time.
