Can we access mainframe through python?

Do we have libraries to access the mainframe terminals/environment in order to read through vsam files and db2 tables. please advice.

Why do you want to use python, and not something more common for mainframe like rexx or java?

Hello I'm working on mainframe since 1998. I can tell you that you can install python3 on mainframe for free https://www.rocketsoftware.com/product-categories/mainframe/JUMP_LINK__&&__python__&&__JUMP_LINK-for-zos Best regards and happy new years 2020 Bruno

yes, you need some more advanced Python environment (Canopy seems good to me) and there is a standard library handling mainframe.
