I first learned C++ when I was 13. This was back in the 90s when the internet still sucked (it still had porn though, so uhh win?) and you had to buy real, physical books. Umm... they are these things that have paper in them and ink is used to output to its paper "screen."
With that being said, as a child, especially during these years, you're probably more capable of learning quickly than most human adults are. I don't know if you've ever spent time around babies or kids, but it's insane the capacity for a human to learn. Really mind blowing. As adults, most of us have already been molded or hold particular beliefs that prevent us from being as open as we once were, and it affects our opinions on things.
So what am I saying? Not to sound cliche, but whatever you put your mind to, and follow up with action, you'll achieve. Be persistent. Be patient. Don't give up when things get tough, and ALWAYS finish whatever you start. A wise person once said to me, "I don't give a f*** what you decide to do with your life, always give it 100% and be the best at whatever you do. I don't care if you're a trash collector, be the best f***ing trash collector." Live by that rule and not only will you end up obtaining the impossible, but you'll always know that you did your best in life regardless of what came your way.
Best of luck!

With study and lots of practice, you can be good at JavaScript. Your age is not a factor if you're willing to put forth the effort.

Only a question...why not?

Yea, am 16 now but I have mastered the 5 main Languages which are HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL and JAVASCRIPT all in 1 month.
So you can still make it.
All you need, is
1: an internet accessible android mobile phone with an already installed Sololearn app.
2: A PC with Sublime text app installed because that's the best I know and I don't think any other can compare with it. Its just mavelous with all languages SYNTAX installed in it for you to work in any language.

You can learn anything till you are determined and think that you should learn and you will learn it , it may be difficult to understand a specific topic .. That happens many times , but those are not actually the obstacles , at that movement , you will utilize your brain at the maximum to understand it , and once you did it , your brain will automatically get adapted to it. So just keep yourself always ready to learn and face obstacles . Coming on the other side ,if you learn JavaScript at the rate of 1 hour a day , you can master it in 2.5 years easily . That's actually the 5 hour rule used by the most successful personalities in the world . You don't need to stress yourself , just you need to do is study 1 hr. a day . That's all I could say .
Good Luck

YES YES YES .... i am sure most of the responses to your post say yes (at least the first few i read do).... but i figured i would chime in and let you know about my own personal experience. When i was 11, i borrowed an old text book from one of my parents borders. That text was an introduction to computer programming and the "BASIC" programming language. i must have been bored as a kid cuz i gobbled it up. Soon i became determined and sat at our family computer to write a program myself. i based it on the board game "payday" which used Dice to propel you around the board. i taught myself to code and successfully created an electronic version of the game. i made virtual dice and even had the option to play alone or up to 4 people ... i remember the game fit onto one 3.5" floppy disk with room to spare .. lol ... but i digress ....YES you most assuredly can MASTER javascript (or any other task) if you set your mind to it and more importantly follow through. In my youth i spent a good number of weeks maybe even a couple of months writing changing and debugging code for an all text based electronic board game that was destined to only be played by a handful of people ... all the while my brothers and friends from the neighborhood tried unsuccessfully to get me to come outside to play. .. stay determined and NEVER give up. you WILL succeed if you set your mind to it.

I am 14 years old and just look at my profile, and also study in Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA.) Microsoft.com to get my certification and learn more than the basics (Web services, game development, Windows Phone, etc. ..)

btw: you dont need to be a #$vengat to learn.
a normal IQ is enough. With his IQ three 14 agers can learn (-;

It is good to learn anything anytime. You just want dedication towards what you want to learn. And with learning and practice you can learn any language
Best of luck

@love learning multiple languages at the same time is similar to reading multiple books at the same time. It can take a little extra time to remember what is going on after you switch. But, it can be easy, if they are different so there is no confusing them. I wouldn't attempt Java and JavaScript together as it would be easy to get confused. HTML, CSS, & JavaScript work together nicely and might be worth doing together. I took 4 different programming courses together in college and didn't have a problem. At worst, you decide you can't handle it and go back to one so give it a try, if you want.
