every 4 subtraction they follow the pattern of increasing by 2.
3-1=2,7-3=4,13-7=6,21-13=8
To produce number 43:you say 21-13=8
in that 8 you add 6 which makes 14 and 14 is the difference between 43 and 57 .now if you add the differences of of 8 and 14 you get 22 which is the difference between 21 and 43.
Now the pattern continues (4 subtraction)from the number 43 and 57 which have the difference of 14
...the numbers 57 and 73 have difference of 16 and there problem solved!
