Is it necessary to learn C before learning C++..??

I am a new programmer. And i want to learn C++ and .net for some program development. So do i need to learn C language first in order to know all the basic things..??

pretty much all of the features C has, are in C++ and moreover there are some features exclusively in C++ like object-oriented paradigm of programming. Initially Bjarne (the creator of C++) called it C with classes. So in summary if you want to learn C-like languages and that kind of philosophy of mixing high and low level functionality in a language, its even better to learn C++ because its still been requested for all kinds of software solutions. c is the basic and best programming language ! and that is why it becomes mandatory to learn c first .but most of the features of both c,c++ Are same and moreover , the drawbacks of c have been overcame by c++ my personal point of view, learn c first, u will find c++ more interesting
