2017 software versioning
Does anyone know why a lot of softwares out there are changing its versioning from [Major].[Minor].[Patch] or [Major].[Minor].[Update] to [Year].[Minor].[Patch, Update or something else] ? For example, some softwares was in version 2.3.5 and now are in 2017.1.0.
