C++ and Databases

Question

I'm curious about making my own version of the typical Library Management System. I'm currently studying in C++ and have refreshed my SQL knowledge through SoloLearn (Thank you!).
I looked up SQLAPI++, but it's not free unfortunately. I then found CPPCMS, which I'll give a try. Would you suggest I continue with CPPCMS or do you have any other suggestions on how to proceed?
