It is possible to create any game in js, not only light. Modern browsers allow to make almost anything that is possible in native applications.
The single problem is performance, but web assembly will come in a few years

There are so many games that can be created using magical javascript.You may first make any simple game in it to know more about its features.

The first game to come into my mind is coolieclicker
The others have good suggestions, too, however I recommend Google Chrome for looking into the code.. (might be a matter of taste, though..)
