JavaScript vs Jquery

Question

I have been studying javascript for several weeks. Today I started with jquery, according to it's just a library, very easy to learn, but I've noticed something, its syntax is completely different, so much to learn to start almost from scratch with jquery, it seems fair?

jQuery is worth learning. It makes doing fun stuff with Javascript elements a whole lot easier. Give it a chance.
