Improving my coding skills

I've done a couple of courses on solo learn and I thought that by the time I'm through I'd be able to code and debug code easily I'm having a really hard time improving on my php and Java does anyone have any advice on how I could be really good at coding

Yeah, the courses are good but nothing compares to real practical experience. Don't worry, we've all been there. Learning to program is about perseverance. Set yourself a project. Make it so that it's just out of your reach in terms of skill level. This will keep it interesting. And stick with it until you finish. Even if you feel like tearing your hair out. Use whatever learning tools you can, like sololearn, youtube, stack overflow, etc. It's only when you start and finish projects, that knowledge and skills truly develop. You must be prepared for frustration, it's part of the learning process. However, you'll learn more doing personal projects than you will doing sololearn courses, because you have to understand the things that don't work just as much as the things that do. Good luck and don't forget that you can ask here for any specific help on any problems you may have.
