If you think of a and b as boxes, floor division of a // b lets you know how many times would b fit into a. Modulo a%b lets you know how much space would be left in b that could not accomodate yet another full a. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/457646/?ref=app https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/827101/?ref=app

You're in 4th grade. You do not know fractions. What is 7 divided by 4. Well the 4 fits into the 7 once. The remainder is 3 (= 7-1*4). Floor division is what you did here. And modulo is a fancy word for remainder.
