Web hacks

Question

from what I understand the latest web hacks are being done by finding the source of ehere tge website is being updated from and changing the update file to fit ypur image of what you want to do whether it be phishing or picking up user data but im not entirely sure about how this is done . does anyone here know how to find the source of the update

Well, there is click-jacking and pharming. they both redirect users to destinations which the 'hacker' intends them to see. this is usually accomplished by click-on ads.
I'd imagine copying an official website (Their graphics, layouts and everything else) and finding a web host for your website then somehow make sure it appears first on the search results so that many people can be victim to your 'hack'.
You can infiltrate a network to redirect traffic to wherever you want to (this may require more advanced knowledge in Networking etc).
Of course you can manually hack the website's web host and change their source code. I don't know how this is done... yet
