should i take a java course or android course

Question

iam now learning java but i want to know is that it?? or i will need to take an android course to learn android?? becuz people say that if you learnt kava you learnt the most in android so if learnt java i will understand android programming right on the way or not?? and am i have to learn the whole language or specific thing that i will use in android??

Go for java, then learn XML
