From a professional/experience on working with MVC type architecture for Web Dev. Compare Angular(JS) to Laravel(PHP)

I am new to these frameworks but I'm looking to specialise. Need opinion on using this technologies for building small as well as sophisticated systems of which fairs best?, before I make a sacrifice.
