Use normal text editors like sublime or notepad.. So that you can learn each and every aspect on your own,,Dreamviewer makes everything easy with user interface...That is good ..But What's the point if dreamviewer does everything for you?

from my experience with text editors, I'd say you should try out sublime text, very light , flexible, fast compared to Dreamweaver. https://www.sublimetext.com/3

I would suggest brackets (Adobe) for front-end development or Atom (Github). I use Atom exclusively because of its hackability and customization. Brackets is good because it directly integrates with Adobe products.
