Is making games for mobile devices with javascript, css and html a good way to go?

I am sure it's a good start but I have read online that it has more cons then pros for game/app development. Just looking for reassurance i suppose.

If you truly want to get into mobile gaming I would sugest learning Java instead or alongside javascript. Though I can safely say that javascript is not to bad when making mobile games especially now with so many frameworks and API's to help you along the way.

java was my initial language when i started to learn to program last year. I got a decent knowledge of the language but not enough to make a well designed game....i wanted to get into html and javascript for awhile, so i just jump into it and really enjoying how easy it is. thanks for the comment and helping rethink my java days.
