Ai development

Question

Hello sololearners,
I've been thinking alot about AI recently, and how it would greatly affect our lives in the future. As a programmer, I feel the need to go into AI dev, but as you all might know, its a pretty large subject.

So my questions is
1. What programming language would best? more specifically for Machine Learning (did some googling and found out most prefer python)

2. Hardware? will a simple laptop do?

2 -> Yes, but preferably a 16G RAM and 2TB HDD with 4GHz clockspeed

@Given 2. is too Powerful, no need for pc like that.
