What is the best FREE software for all types of game developing?

Like TheLastCookie said, Unity 3d and Unreal Engine 4 are some really good free game engines. You can also just use an html, css, and js file to make a game. (I have one of pong on my profile and other users have some really cool games in the code playground).

However, taking a game makes time, so if you're under a strict deadline to make a game.(assuming you are because of how rushed you seem in your topic post) Good games can take months and even years. Only experienced developers will be able put out a good game in a matter of days, so be prepared to put a lot of time and effort into your project.

I prefer Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 3d. But there is not 'the best' engine. You choose what you like.
