The most used editors are : Sublime text 3 , Atom, Brackets, Notepad++ Personally I usually use Sublime text 3 , here is the link to download it :https://www.sublimetext.com/3 They are all the same , you choose the one you liked ! Good luck

For Java IntelliJ Idea is now most popular and most efficient IDE. Jedit seems not to be a good editor, at least I never heard of anyone using it at enterprise...

I dont'know about Jedit but I advice you to use Notepad++, it's a rally good editor for all sort of languages. https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/

You could alternatively use an IDE, such as Eclipse, which is probably the best IDE for Java. Some people find using an IDE more convenient than a lightweight text editor
