Can you download jdk on xp?

Windows XP is dead, I would strongly recommend you to upgrade or switch to Linux if your PC is not powerful. Oracle removed their download links for the JDK for Windows XP when Microsoft stopped supporting it, in April 8, 2014. That being said, if you find it, make sure it's not a scam (of course) and use the 32 bit version as XP does not support 64 bit.

yes I didn't knew that it's been removed use Linux Ubuntu as it's GUI version is fine for window users or buy new windows as XP has a lot of security issues. be always careful and download from a safe website. if none of the things suits you and want Java you can use online code writers or there are some standalone small portable ides that offers to write code compile code and run there but it requires jre and if you use more commands you can add the library. it has only basic fubctions just basic Java and japplets and CMD more than enough a beginner needs. there are also programs that needs internet and compile.
