they won't have emotions, we could even make them seek suffering. since sky is the limit, giving rights to robots make little sense unless they have human like emotions.

It would be torture and inhumane to create a conciousness that is able for human-like comprehension. That's something we should be not aiming for. We should aim to just harness different recognition algorithms, that way we can have pseudo-AI's. That's what multiple large companies are actually aiming for nowadays ( Tesla, Google, etc.. )
