The official language for Android development is Java. Large parts of Android are written in Java and its APIs are designed to be called primarily from Java. That said, it is possible to develop C and C++ apps using the Android Native Development Kit (NDK), however it isn't something that Google promotes.

It depends. The native language for Android development is Java (with Android Studio for example). You can try MIT App Inventor 2 for Android apps development as well to learn basics when you are a newcomer or just for fun. Cordova is useful for good quality apps but not for high quality games development or 3D apps.

Wowwowow!!!... Give me a break.. I am A Java programmer and I have been using Android studio.. Java is pretty cool... but in my opinion take and step ahead with Xamarin technology since it is now growing after joining together with Microsoft.. it is free and though... based on C# and intuitive enough the syntax is arbitrary Java... So get in there.. REQUIREMENTS : 1.Have a Visual Studio IDE installer ( Community ver- is free) 2.Skills and knowledge based on C# or C#.Net. 3.Nothing else rather than write once run cross platform (IOS Windows and Android)

Hello, Java is great and I think if Android is programmed in Java you have to use Java yes of course C or C+ is faster then Java but it isn't the official programming language of android.

The best and the most flexible language for android is java. Large parts of android is written in java and its APIs are aslo designed to be called from java. By the way if you want to experience android truly so go for native apps which are written in java.
