by learning a programming language, then yknow, actually programming something. I recommend learning python.

If you can write out directions to go somewhere or on how to do something , then your a programmer.

Then it is a question of what you want to do:
Become a code monkey or
Become a developer

By just knowing the language, your a code monkey.
But if you strive to implement and tackle challenges (because you love solving problems) by learning (independently or going to a university), then you’re a developer.
