Is it best to learn c# before java

C# came out after Java and basically is a Microsoft version of Java they are very similar languages and personally speaking I believe Java is easier to grasp but obviously that is down to the person.

I think learning Object Oriented Programming is easier to visualise in Java as compared to C# as you can see your classes clearer and you don't have to deal with forms etc
You also are not distracted by the visual side straight away but can build yourself up from using the Console, to a Graphical User Interface such as JavaFX. Anyway I would try both and see what you enjoy more.

I have never used C#, but I do know that Java isn’t an incredibly difficult language to understand so you should be fine starting with Java.
