How much time does it take for a beginner to become a professional coder ??

I think it depends of you. Depends how much time you pass practicing. How good you are for programming. The language you are focusing on. The kind of programs you code, I mean, for example, if you only use your time to program calculators, you won't learn much. And something that in my opinion is of pros, is discipline for studying and keeping on learning. But If we had an estimated time: More than 1 year approximately. (I'm not sure about time).
